Looking for a New Veterinarian?

Are you looking for a new veterinarian in the Palmdale and Lancaster area to care for your pets? The vet you choose can make a big difference in your stress levels, as well as the health of your beloved pets. When you have a veterinarian that you trust, and who you feel takes care of your animals without automatically defaulting to the most invasive, most expensive solution, you feel better. You feel you can bring them in when they need medical attention, not just when you can pay a huge vet bill. The result is healthier pets and a happier home. In this week’s blog, we’ll look at why Antelope Valley Animal Hospital is great choice for this invaluable service.

 Animal Hospital Palmdale

The Veterinary Staff

Our veterinarians are highly experienced and involved in the community. This combination makes them invested in the people and pets of the great communities of Palmdale and Lancaster.

Dr. Jim Nyholt has been practicing veterinary medicine for decades, and brings his experience and knowledge to every case. He is heavily involved in the area’s 4-H clubs and loves to share his love of animals with children.

Dr. David Gantenbein (Dr. Dave) is also an highly experienced vet and spends his free time pursuing his devotion to animals. He is involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of both wildlife and Greyhounds. He and his wife also teach dog obedience classes.

The latest addition to our staff is Dr. Kimberly Chambers. She is an expert in preventative animal medicine and loves small farm animals.  Taking care of animals is not just a job for our vets, but a passion and a lifestyle they all embrace.

Our Veterinary Services

Antelope Valley Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital offering preventative care and acute care for small animals, exotics, and large animals upon request. We care for sick and injured animals and offer veterinary pharmacy services, ultrasound, digital radiology, and surgery. We even offer house calls for when your pet just can’t make the trip into the office.

We know that when a pet receives preventative care, it lives longer and is overall more healthy, and this can save you money as well as adding years to your pet’s life. Preventative medicine and catching illnesses early can make a huge difference. We offer wellness care and preventative medicine, including a vaccine clinic every Wednesday evening from 6:00PM to 7:30PM. Dental cleanings and microchipping are also available.
