Our Veterinary Care Center in Palmdale Helps Prepare Your Pets for Summer

While you might be excited about the upcoming summer holidays, your pets may be dreading them. The Fourth of July, Labor Day, and other summer festivities can be a time filled with confusion and danger for our furry friends. Our veterinary care center in Palmdale wants to ensure you and your pets get the most  out of the summer. Here are some tips to make sure you both have an enjoyable time:

  • Give pets their own space. Sometimes pets need to get away from the hubbub. They might seek out a private space to relax in, so make sure they have access to a safe room they can be alone in. They might enjoy a kennel or even just a quiet corner. This can be especially useful for pets who are  nervous around people they don’t know. If you’re planning a big get-together or barbecue at your home, make sure your pet has a place they can get away from it all.
  • Be cautious about your decorations. Some pets are more curious than others, so use your best judgement about decor. Some animals won’t bother decorations, and some can’t seem to leave them alone. Some pets might want to take a taste of your new decorations thanks to yummy smells on them. Keep appealing decor out of the reach of your pet, or don’t bring it home in the first place.
  • Remember your pet needs quality time, too. Pets are easy to forget in the craziness of the summer season. Don’t forget your faithful friend and treat them to a special snack or some extra cuddle time. Do this, and they’ll learn to love the summer holidays as much as you do.

If your pet runs into any issues over the summer, our veterinary care center in Palmdale is here to help. We treat every patient as our own cherished companion, so you’ll be sure your pet is getting the best care possible. We offer evening and weekend hours as well as emergency services so you can always reach our team whenever you need us. Have questions about how to keep your pet safe and happy this summer?
